This unique one-hour DVD features several Deaf people presenting a number of fascinating "sign play" stories. The challenge of an ABC story is to use the letters of the manual alphabet, in alphabetical order, to tell a story. The challenge of a 1-10 (or higher) number story is to use number handshapes, in numerical order, to tell a story. To capture the creativity and genius of these "sign play" stories, this DVD presents each story three times—once at regular speed, once in slow motion, and again at regular speed. To help viewers fully appreciate these stories, an on-screen graphic of the corresponding letter of the alphabet or number is displayed during the slow motion presentation. This DVD is a must for sign language and interpreter education programs. They are also an invaluable resource for assisting Deaf students in gaining a new and deeper appreciation of this unique form of sign language entertainment. [DVD: (2007) 1 hour] DVDs not returnable once opened.
