Infovox iVox adds high quality voices to the base English set shipped with Mac OS X. These natural-sounding voices are available in many languages. They can be used in any Mac OS X application that uses speech. Applications such as TextEdit, Preview, Acrobat Reader, Proloquo, KeyStrokes, SwitchXS, VisioVoice, AppleWorks, and many educational titles are brought to life with Infovox iVox.

The high quality voices are an ideal match for VoiceOver, Tiger's built-in screen reader. In fact, Infovox iVox can be used with all the built-in speech and accessibility features of Mac OS X. Infovox iVox includes several voices for the language of your choosing. Initially, the following languages will be available: American English, British English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Flemish, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish. For most languages, male and female voices are available (certain languages include multiple male and/or female voices). American English even includes two children's voices. All non-American English languages include one American English female voice as a bonus. If you need multiple languages, buy Infovox iVox and additional language packs.

Infovox iVox requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, Mac OS X 10.4 or later is recommended.
