The simple orbiTouch®
interface enables the user to type all alphanumeric and special keys found on a
keyboard, plus provides a fully-integrated three-button mouse capability—all
via two ergonomically sculpted domes.
The new alphabetic and color rings provide immediate out-of-the-box productivity—the user is
able to type by simply picking a character and a color. A complete
learning system is provided that quickly enables growth in speed and
proficiency. The orbiTouch connects to any Windows PC via PS2 or USB
ports with no additional “driver” software required, and comes with a 2-year
limited warranty.

The
orbiTouch® is a keyboard that eliminates finger motion and
significantly reduces wrist motion -- two major causes of typing
discomfort and pain.
It can do everything a regular keyboard does and has an integrated
mouse, so by moving the domes you have full mouse and keyboard
capability right under your hands!
We've done over ten years
of research. The results demonstrate that the orbiTouch® significantly
reduces or eliminates the suspect motions that lead to repetitive
strain injury and carpal tunnel syndrome.
How does it work?
- Each dome slides into one of 8 zones to type a character. The domes do not twist.
- Either dome can slide first or move both at the same time
- Domes slide toward the center of their respective color or character zones -- not directly at the character.
- Slide the right dome to the zone of the character you want to type; slide the left dome to the color of that character.
Now
that you know how it works, you simply plug in it and begin typing. You
can do this two ways - straight into your computer or through a USB
adapter (included). The USB adapter is required for portable computer
use. Either way you connect allows you to use the orbiTouch® in exactly
the same way.
What does it work with?
It is PC Compatible with an Apple Macintosh version in the works. The
orbiTouch® requires no software drivers for use. Simply plug-in and type!
Who uses it and why?
People
who use the orbiTouch® want to type more comfortably or find using a
regular keyboard difficult because of all of the finger and wrist
motion required. It could be because of permanent to temporary
disability. It could be because they were gloves in the factory and
don't want to take them off to type! There are many reasons but only a
handful of solutions - the orbiTouch® is one such solution!
