Medicare Reimbursement Many of ILT's products are approved by Medicare as well as most private insurance agencies. Reimbursement amounts for these items differ due to many factors including but not limited to deductibles, plan structure & medical necessity.


Independent Living Technologies will gladly work in conjunction with our customers and their health care professionals in acquiring proper paperwork and information to assist in processing their claim, however we can not be held responsible for billing issues between our customers and Medicare or their private insurance companies.

It is imperative that you contact your Medicare or private insurance representative prior to purchasing anything for which you wish to be reimbursed.

  The Typical Process for Purchase/Reimbursement is as Follows:  
 
Step 1. Obtain a Doctor's Prescription.
Step 2. Obtain a Doctor's Letter of Medical Necessity.
Step 3. Purchase the Product.
Step 4. File for Reimbursement.
